Local Hospital: Great Idea but can Gasan sustain it?
The municipality of Gasan has a population of 30,000. A hospital is needed to provide service to this population. But due to the
limited revenue of Gasan, the hospital is in dire need of help. Statistically more than 45% of families in Marinduque are below poverty level. Per capita income is only about $380.00. The provincial government's budget can hardly cope with the
expenses of the provincial hospital so assistance to local hospitals such as in

Gasan is limited. To provide basic services, it will need at least $2000 a month. A tall feat considering that the town only has a
monthly income between the $11,000 - $20,000 range based on its category as a 5th class municipality. For this reason, the Marinduque Midwest Class '84 selected the hospital as the beneficiary of whatever fund we can raise as part of our 20th year
celebration on December 2004 . We are hoping to raise $2000.00 through our fundraising activities. Hope you, the readers, will extend your support by using our site to shop online. If your favorite store is not in our list, send
